Preamble of the Working Group

The RETHINK project is an initiative and an open platform of top managers of large companies operating in the Czech Republic who have decided to cooperate with each other in promoting post-pandemic support for achieving long-term climate neutrality and the UN Sustainable Development Goals for our country. RETHINK signatories support government action to mitigate climate change and adapt to its impacts. With progressive climate change and environmental degradation posing an existential threat to both the people of the Czech Republic and our planet, we therefore support the EU Green Deal for Europe, the UN Paris Agreement and the Glasgow Climate Pact, which are designed to mitigate this threat.

At joint working meetings of the RETHINK Working Group, made up of representatives of RETHINK signatories (called RETHINK Coordinators), signatories inform each other about the latest developments in decarbonisation and adaptation measures at global, European and national levels, and take inspiration from actions that companies are taking across sectors or emerging as good practice in the markets.
