{"id":13142,"date":"2022-08-12T09:00:02","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T07:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/?p=13142"},"modified":"2022-08-03T22:31:32","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T20:31:32","slug":"chapter-zero-launches-new-board-toolkit-with-berkeley-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/en\/chapter-zero-launches-new-board-toolkit-with-berkeley-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Chapter Zero launches new Board Toolkit with Berkeley support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>With pro bono support from Berkeley, not-for-profit organisation Chapter Zero has launched a new Board Toolkit to enable non-executive directors (NEDs) to help their boards take timely, positive and decisive action on climate change and the transition to net zero.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The practical toolkit offers NEDs checklists, key questions, detailed areas of action, and further resources under the following five steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure the right board oversight<\/li>\n<li>Establish the need for change<\/li>\n<li>Set direction and plan the change<\/li>\n<li>Embed and sustain the change<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and optimise.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Our non-executive director members are currently grappling with a wide range of climate and business issues and are in a strong position to drive the change we need in the net zero transition. This Board Toolkit is designed to provide practical steps to help them with this challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Julie Baddeley, Chapter Zero\u2019s Chair Of The Board said, \u201cOur non-executive director members are currently grappling with a wide range of climate and business issues and are in a strong position to drive the change we need in the net zero transition. This Board Toolkit is designed to provide practical steps to help them with this challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berkeley provides pro bono strategy and change management expertise.<\/p>\n<p>Berkeley developed the toolkit pro bono as part of its commitments to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
