By the end of 2026, <strong>the technical \u201cback<\/strong><strong>\u2011<\/strong><strong>office\u201d steps<\/strong> needed to change supplier \u2014 such as registering a new provider and exchanging customer data \u2014 will have to be completed <strong>within 24 hours<\/strong>. The Regulation is available at this <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32026R0855&amp;qid=1776345706422\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The new Regulation focuses on removing practical and administrative barriers that have traditionally slowed down supplier switching. Faster processing is expected to make electricity markets <strong>more responsive and accessible<\/strong>, allowing consumers to react more quickly to changing prices and market conditions.
