The ordinary members approved the Annual Report for the past year, new Statutes, decided to strengthen the Presidium, established a new control function of the Supervisor, and defined key priorities and activities for 2026. The Czech BCSD Annual Report for 2026 is available at this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Vyrocni-zprava-duben-2026-Final_web.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>link<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main points of the meeting was the <strong>approval of the new wording of the Czech BCSD Statutes<\/strong>. These newly expand the organization&#8217;s&nbsp;secondary activities to include, for example, advisory and consulting services, research and development, and educational activities. Another fundamental change is <strong>the expansion of the number of members of the Presidium from seven to nine<\/strong>, which is intended to contribute to greater action and a broader representation of expertise in the Czech BCSD executive body. The Statutes also allow for remuneration of members of the Presidium in the event of a profit, with a limited amount of remuneration. Another significant innovation is the introduction of the position of <strong>Supervisor instead of the original Supervisory Committee<\/strong>. The Supervisor will, as an individual control body, supervise the organization&#8217;s&nbsp;finances and compliance with the Statutes and legal regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The General Meeting also decided on <strong>the corporate changes<\/strong>. VEOLIA \u010cESK\u00c1 REPUBLIKA, a.s., represented by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/rostislav-%C4%8D%C3%A1p-b3b521a6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ing. Rostislav \u010c\u00e1p<\/a>, was elected as a new member of the Presidium. KPMG \u010cesk\u00e1 republika, s.r.o., represented by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/anna-vanickova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ing. Anna Van\u00ed\u010dkov\u00e1<\/a><\/strong>, was elected to the newly established position of Supervisor. Czech BCSD will focus primarily on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting member companies in the area of \u200b\u200bESG, including their supply chains;<\/li>\n<li>Developing education and sharing know-how, especially through the Czech BCSD Academy (educational programs in the areas of emissions, non-financial reporting, digital product passports, circular economy and sustainability) and using the capacities and resources of the partner World Business Council for Sustainable Development (<strong>\u201cWBCSD\u201d<\/strong>);<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening data tools, especially the upcoming CBCSD ESG Data Hub; and<\/li>\n<li>Actively engaging in public policy-making and improvement of the enabling environment in Czechia and the creation of key legislation at the EU level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Czech BCSD is recording a <strong>gradual growth of its membership base, which in 2026 will number 18 full members and 12 associate members<\/strong>. However, it does not want to grow at any cost in the future, when the goal is rather qualitative development and the involvement of key companies from industry, energy and transport. Czech BCSD does not have the ambition to be a large organization in terms of ordinary members, but as an action-oriented association, they help to increase the performance of the supply chains of large companies, with the members of their supply chains being able to have the status of associate members.<\/p>\n<p>Czech BCSD thus wants to continue to profile itself as <strong>a dynamic platform connecting business, public administration and academia in the field of sustainability, resilience and competetiveness<\/strong>. In the coming period, it wants to strengthen its role, especially in the areas of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting the competitiveness of companies and their supply chains;<\/li>\n<li>Transferring international good practice to Czechia, especially from the WBCSD ecosystem, which includes up to 6.5 thousand companies worldwide; and<\/li>\n<li>Creating a stable and predictable enabling environment for sustainable and competitive business in Czechia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The translation of the WBCSD\u2019s PACT Methodology<\/strong>, a global methodology for calculations and transmitting product carbon footprints (PCFs), into Czech was also presented at the General Meeting.
