First, the <strong>Chips Act 2.0<\/strong> aims to secure Europe\u2019s semiconductor base and boost production capacity for advanced technologies essential for AI. Second, the proposed <strong>Cloud and AI Development Act<\/strong> seeks to unlock investment, streamline conditions for data centre deployment and introduce an EU-wide framework for assessing <strong>cloud and AI sovereignty<\/strong>. Third, a new <strong>Open Source Strategy<\/strong> will scale up European alternatives and support innovation, skills and digital infrastructure. Finally, the package includes a <strong>strategic roadmap for digitalisation and AI in the energy sector<\/strong>, ensuring sustainable integration of digital technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the Package aims to <strong>reduce Europe\u2019s dependency on non-EU technology providers<\/strong> and strengthen its <strong>digital autonomy and resilience<\/strong>, while fostering innovation and competitiveness.
