The Package is available at this <a href=\"https:\/\/reforms-investments.ec.europa.eu\/publications-0\/2026-european-semester-spring-package_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Package responds to a challenging environment marked by <strong>geopolitical tensions, climate risks, rising energy prices and cost-of-living pressures<\/strong>, and aims to strengthen <strong>competitiveness, resilience and strategic autonomy<\/strong> while maintaining fiscal sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>To strengthen the EU&#8217;s&nbsp;competitiveness, the Commission <strong>calls on Member States to take action in several key areas, including<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ensuring fiscal sustainability and macroeconomic stability<\/li>\n<li>boosting research and development investment and closing the innovation gap<\/li>\n<li>reducing Single Market barriers and administrative burdens<\/li>\n<li>promoting quality jobs and investing in skills and education<\/li>\n<li>combatting poverty and ensuring social inclusion<\/li>\n<li>addressing housing affordability challenges<\/li>\n<li>accelerating the green transition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Package also includes <strong>country-specific recommendations contained in <\/strong>detailed country reports assessing economic and social developments and implementation progress of earlier reforms. For <strong>Czechia<\/strong>, the recommendations focus on maintaining <strong>sound public finances<\/strong>, advancing <strong>structural reforms<\/strong>, improving <strong>innovation capacity<\/strong>, and accelerating the <strong>green and digital transition<\/strong>, while addressing labour market and social challenges.
