The list of firms no longer providing external reviews is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esma.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2026-03\/List_of_firms_that_no_longer_provide_external_reviews_under_Article_69_or_Article_70_of_the_European_Green_Bonds_Regulation.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>External reviewers play a critical role in ensuring that <strong>European Green Bonds comply with EU taxonomy requirements<\/strong>, including both <strong>pre-issuance and post-issuance reviews<\/strong>. Under the new regime, ESMA acts as the <strong>direct supervisor<\/strong> of these entities. From <strong>21 June 2026<\/strong>, only <strong>ESMA-registered firms<\/strong> are allowed to provide external review services, following the end of the transition period.
