{"id":21793,"date":"2026-08-04T20:22:29","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T18:22:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/?p=21793"},"modified":"2026-08-04T20:26:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T18:26:18","slug":"ghg-protocol-and-iso-announce-a-plan-for-a-new-common-corporate-ghg-standard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/en\/ghg-protocol-and-iso-announce-a-plan-for-a-new-common-corporate-ghg-standard\/","title":{"rendered":"GHG Protocol and ISO Announce a Plan for a new Common Corporate GHG Standard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 29 July 2026,<strong> GHG Protocol and the International Organization for Standardization <\/strong>(<strong>\u201cISO\u201c<\/strong>) <strong>announced plans to develop a single global corporate greenhouse gas <\/strong>(<strong>\u201cGHG\u201c<\/strong>) <strong>accounting standard <\/strong>(<strong>\u201cNew Corporate Standard\u201c<\/strong>)<strong>.<\/strong> The initiative aims to reduce fragmentation across reporting frameworks and provide a more consistent and interoperable foundation for climate-related reporting worldwide. Its Standard Development Plan is available <a href=\"https:\/\/ghgprotocol.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2026-07\/Consolidated-StandardDevelopmentPlan(SDP)-2026.07.29.pdf?apcid=0069e207782cd1c648f1de07\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The New Corporate Standard <strong>will integrate the GHG Protocol\u2019s Corporate Standard, Scope 2 Guidance, Scope 3 Standard and the developing Actions and Market Instruments framework with ISO 14064-1<\/strong>.
