The objective is to enable Member States to prepare new regional aid maps for the <strong>2028-2034<\/strong> period, replacing the current framework that expires at the end of 2027. Draft new RAG and related materials are available at this <a href=\"https:\/\/competition-policy.ec.europa.eu\/public-consultations\/2026-rag_en\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Regional State aid is one of the European Union\u2019s key tools for promoting economic development and territorial cohesion in less advantaged regions. The RAG define the conditions under which Member States may grant support for investments and job creation.<\/p>\n<p>The public consultation is <strong>open to public authorities, businesses, organisations and citizens until 30 September 2026<\/strong>.
