The package includes <strong>EUR 4.3 billion for businesses, including those in Czechia<\/strong>, primarily channelled through local financial institutions. Additional information on EIB activities in Czechia can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eib.org\/en\/projects\/country\/czechia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The financing will mainly support small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the fields of <strong>security and defence, space, energy, and agriculture<\/strong>. The initiative seeks to foster innovation, strengthen Europe\u2019s economic resilience, and help companies adapt to evolving geopolitical and economic challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The EIB Board also approved funding for energy infrastructure projects, including electricity networks in Germany and Greece, solar energy investments in Italy, and district-heating infrastructure in Lithuania. These projects are expected to contribute to <strong>greater European energy autonomy<\/strong> and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the European Union, the EIB will support projects in Brazil, Egypt, Kosovo, and several African countries.
