In this ways, it plans to release <strong>EUR 1.1 billion available<\/strong> to <strong>build and modernise transport infrastructure<\/strong> across the <strong>EU and associated countries, namely in Ukraine and Moldova<\/strong>. The funding will support completion of the <strong>trans-European transport network (TEN-T)<\/strong>, covering areas such as railway and inland waterway projects, electrification of road haulage and airports, port charging infrastructure, border infrastructure, digitalisation of road transport, and Military Mobility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications are open<\/strong> to EU Member States, international organisations, and public\/private bodies in the EU, Ukraine or Moldova. An online info session was held on in June 2026, and <strong>proposals must be submitted via the Funding &amp; Tenders Portal by 6 October 2026, 17:00 CET. <\/strong>Evaluation results will follow within six months, with grant agreements signed within nine months of the deadline<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The CEF Transport programme<\/strong> is the EU&#8217;s<strong> main instrument for developing sustainable, interconnected transport networks<\/strong>, focusing on <strong>nine European Transport Corridors<\/strong>.
