{"id":22231,"date":"2026-09-23T18:56:56","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T16:56:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/?p=22231"},"modified":"2026-09-23T19:00:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T17:00:10","slug":"czech-bcsd-and-austrias-respact-begin-cooperation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/en\/czech-bcsd-and-austrias-respact-begin-cooperation\/","title":{"rendered":"Czech BCSD and Austria\u2019s respACT Begin Cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 22 September 2026, <strong>the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development<\/strong> (<strong>\u201cCzech BCSD\u201d<\/strong>) <strong>and respACT, the Austrian Business Council for Sustainable Development<\/strong> (<strong>\u201crespACT\u201d<\/strong>), <strong>held an introductory teleconference to explore opportunities for cooperation. <\/strong>Representatives of both organisations presented their activities and discussed topics of shared interest. Both councils are part of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Global Network.<\/p>\n<p><strong>respACT \u2013 austrian business council for sustainable development<\/strong> <strong>is an Austrian business platform focused on sustainable business practices.<\/strong> It connects companies and provides them with expert information, training and opportunities to share experience. According to its website, respACT has <strong>more than 450 member companies<\/strong> and, like Czech BCSD, serves as a national partner in the WBCSD Global Network. More information about respACT is available at this <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/www.respact.at\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com__;!!Nyu6ZXf5!rxiP4YsvuRS1n-xaaTTscuI-L1ZhhJixjznGBfkBFTeTlt3jxDDluBrC1U4CBka4PxSI8QhvMrgnL-3nISE$\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The circular economy<\/strong> emerged from the discussion as <strong>a particularly promising area for cooperation<\/strong>. Both sides agreed that the future shape of the European single market in this field is important for the Czech Republic and Austria, especially in view of the expected publication of the Circular Economy Act in Q4&nbsp;2026. The transition to a circular economy can support industrial transformation and strengthen the security of material supply in both neighbouring countries.<\/p>\n<p>Czech BCSD and respACT will therefore explore the possibility of holding <strong>two linked Czech-Austrian seminars in the first quarter of 2027 on <em>The Future of the Circular Economy in the Single Market<\/em><\/strong> \u2014one in the Czech Republic and one in Austria.
