Built in the 1960s, the complex currently offers up to 4,400 beds, but many of its buildings have deteriorated due to years of limited maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to transform Strahov into an <strong>integrated university district<\/strong> and to improve the availability of <strong>affordable, high-quality student housing<\/strong>. The redevelopment is also expected to contribute to the<strong> wider transformation of the Strahov district<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>CTU noted that the dormitories currently have an occupancy rate of just <strong>53%<\/strong>, limiting funding for repairs and creating a cycle of decline. The advisory assignment will run until the <strong>end of 2027<\/strong> and is being delivered through the <strong>InvestEU Advisory Hub<\/strong>.
