{"id":8713,"date":"2022-01-13T12:58:47","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T10:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/?p=8713"},"modified":"2022-04-13T11:51:06","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T09:51:06","slug":"mercedes-benz-launches-new-electric-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cbcsd.cz\/en\/mercedes-benz-launches-new-electric-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes Benz launches new electric vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The project aims to deliver one of the planet\u2019s most efficient cars, achieving 95% efficiency from battery to wheels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz has built a software-driven electric vehicle with maximised long-distance efficiency, offering more range from less energy.<\/p>\n<p>After 18 months of creation to completion, the vehicle has an energy consumption of less than 10 kWh per 100 km and a range of over 1,000 km2 on a single charge.<\/p>\n<p>The VISION EQXX is made up of recycled and plant-based materials, helping remove landfill waste and lower the carbon footprint of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The sustainable materials offer a more tangible luxury and convenience, with less impact on nature.<\/p>\n<p>The battery pack in the VISION EQXX holds almost 100 kWh of energy, yet has 50% less volume and is 30% lighter than the already benchmark pack in EQS.<\/p>\n<p>Engineers used advanced digital tools to lower weight and reduce waste by removing excess material assisted by 3D printing.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle can also create solar energy from the ultra-thin solar panels on the roof, providing an extra range of up to 25km.<\/p>\n<p>VISION EQXX demonstrates Mercedes-Benz transformation into an all-electric and software-driven company, accelerating Mercedes-Benz goal to \u201cLead in Electric\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Markus Sch\u00e4fer, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG, Chief Technology Officer said: \u201cThe technology programme behind the VISION EQXX will define and enable future Mercedes-Benz models and features.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVISION EQXX has seen the best minds from our R&amp;D centres work together with engineers from our Formula 1 and Formula E programmes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are proving that innovations from motorsport \u2013 where powertrains are already highly electrified \u2013 have immediate relevance for road car development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joerg Bartels, Vice President for Vehicle Engineering and Overall Vehicle Functions, said: \u201cWith the VISION EQXX, we&#8217;re presenting the results of an extraordinary challenge: we pushed efficiency to a totally new level.
