On 27 April 2026, Petr Dovolil and Erika Duchanova, representatives of Czech BCSD, took part in online Global Network WBCSD programme the Global Network Partners Gathering (“Gathering“) – which took place ahead of the WBCSD Annual Meeting 2026 in Montreaux, Switzerland. The Gatherings’s programme introduced the 2026 engagement plan for WBCSD Global Network (“Global Network“) members and partners (“GNPs“), aimed at strengthening it as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and joint action to advance sustainable business transformation.

In 2026, WBCSD will focus on the following four key priorities with respect to the Global Network:

  1. Strengthening collaboration and peer exchange across the Global Network;
  2. Helping Global Network partners better leverage WBCSD insights, tools and programmes in local contexts;
  3. Increasing the visibility and value of the Global Network; and
  4. Mobilising GNPs around strategic policy, advocacy and global engagement opportunities.

This plan will be delivered through the following four complementary pillars:

  1. Learning and capacity building: Strengthening knowledge, skills, and expertise through WBCSD programmes, training and resources, enabling GNPs to share learnings and build capacity among their members.
  2. Networking and peer exchange: Providing for structured and informal opportunities for GNPs to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.
  3. Collaboration on strategic priorities: Enabling deeper collaboration between WBCSD and GNPs by engaging partners in strategic opportunities and priorities.
  4. Visibility and engagement: Amplifying the work and impact of the Global Network through communications, campaigns and events.

Now, Czech BCSD will work as one of GNPs with WBCSD to transpose this offering into tangible actions for its members in Czechia and to utilise to the utmost the potential of WBCSD, the largest business community of sustainable business in the world with member companies contributing to approximately 24% of global annual corporate revenue and featuring more than 6,500 companies across the Global Network.
