On 6 May 2026, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership published a report summarising the results of the Project Development Assistance (PDA) programme for Hydrogen Valleys (“Programme”). The Programme provided tailored support to 15 Hydrogen Valley projects across Europe, helping them progress from early concepts to more advanced development stages and improving readiness for final investment decisions. The report on the Programme (“Report”) is available at this link.
Overall, the Report shows that all participating projects achieved significant progress, including better investor engagement, improved cost efficiency, and stronger project coordination, demonstrating the importance of targeted support in scaling hydrogen ecosystems. The assistance covered key areas including commercial viability, technical optimisation, regulatory compliance, and governance structures, enabling projects to refine business models, assess demand, and improve cost structures.
The publication of the Report comes as the second Call for Applications for PDA support is now open. Applications can be submitted until 26 June 2026. More information is available at this link.
