On 5 June 2026, the European Commission approved a EUR 100 million Austrian State aid scheme to support cleantech manufacturing capacity, in line with the Clean Industrial Deal (“Scheme”). The full press release on approving the Scheme is available on this link.

The Scheme aims at strengthening domestic production of clean technologies, including sectors such as batteries, solar panels and wind energy components, and ensure sufficient manufacturing capacity within the EU. Support will be provided in the form of subsidised loans and will be accessible to both small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies investing in strategic sectors. The measure will be available until 31 December 2026.
