On 23-25 September 2026, Katowice, Poland, will host the New Mobility Congress 2026 (KNM 2026), one of the largest conferences in Central and Eastern Europe focused on sustainable transport, electromobility, energy transition, and the future of urban mobility (“Event”). The event brings together representatives of public authorities, businesses, research institutions, and civil society organisations. More information about the Event is available at this link.

As part of the Event’s programme, Czech BCSD will participate in an expert discussion exploring the links between mobility, public health, and quality of life in cities. Petr Dovolil, a representative of Czech BCSD, will speak within the New Climate Policy & Health track on 24 September 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00. The session will take the form of a policy roundtable entitled “SUMP for Healthy Cities: How Mobility Policies Shape Health, Air Quality and Quality of Life.” Panelists will discuss the role of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), their contribution to improving air quality, and the ways mobility policies can help create healthier and more liveable cities.

The Event will provide a platform for sharing experiences and best practices from across Europe.  At the same time, it will also foster new partnerships and discussions on solutions supporting the transition towards low-emission and resilient mobility systems.
