On 11 February, EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Hub East hosted an online partner meeting attended by more than 30 representatives of startups, companies, universities, research institutions, and municipalities from Central and Eastern Europe.

As part of the cooperation with the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development (Czech BCSD), Vice President Petr Dovolil introduced the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and highlighted the role of national business councils in advancing sustainability, particularly in clean mobility. He emphasized the importance of expert working groups in transferring international trends and innovative solutions into regional practice.

The meeting was opened by Innovation Hub East Director Traian Urban. Jan Bízik from Brno Trade Fairs and Exhibitions (BVV) presented the URBIS 2026 Smart City trade fair and conference.

Participants also discussed the current EIT Urban Mobility open calls, including RAPTOR for SMEs and the Strategic Innovation Call focusing on urban logistics, public transport, mobility data, electrification, and alternative fuels, offering funding of up to EUR 2 million per project.

The meeting concluded with an overview of opportunities within the EIT Urban Mobility Master School and planned activities for the year ahead.
