The European Executive Agency HaDEA has announced the publication of new calls under the Digital Europe programme – specifically the DIGITAL-2026-SKILLS-10 (Advanced Digital Skills) and DIGITAL-2026-BESTUSE-10 (Accelerating Best Use of Technologies) packages. The calls are published on the Funding & Tenders portal and open on 21 April 2026.

The Advanced Digital Skills section aims to strengthen Europe’s capabilities in key digital competences. Topics include AI in healthcare (education and training to increase the “AI readiness” of healthcare organisations; budget €7.8 million), support for National Coalitions for Digital Skills and Jobs (budget €2 million) and an EdTech accelerator for European startups and SMEs (budget €2.7 million).

The Accelerating Best Use of Technologies package aims at practical deployment of technologies on a large scale. This includes capacity building for the implementation of the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) and digital health services in the context of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) (budget €14.4 million), and strengthening the pan-European coverage of the Safer Internet Centres network to protect and support children online (budget €10 million).

The deadline for applications is 1 October 2026 at 17:00 (Brussels time) – early eligibility checks and setting up a consortium or project proposal according to a specific topic are therefore recommended. For more information, use this link
