On 19 June 2026, the European Commission launched a new Connected Europe Facility („CEF“) call for proposals, making available significant EU funding for infrastructure projects across the trans-European transport network (“Call”). The facility represents a key investment instrument in building a resilient, sustainable, and interconnected European transport system. Full details of the Call are available here.
The Call supports projects aimed at developing, modernising and improving transport infrastructure, with a particular focus on cross-border connections and cohesion within the EU. It also extends to partner countries, including Ukraine and Moldova.
Funding under the CEF programme contributes to strengthening the single market, enhancing connectivity, and supporting the EU’s climate and decarbonisation objectives. Projects are selected based on quality and alignment with EU priorities.
