As part of the UN-Habitat program for human settlements and sustainable urban development, with an office in Kyiv, opportunities have been identified for the involvement of Czech manufacturers of water management technologies and water supply network operators, particularly through twinning activities with Ukrainian partners.
Ukraine currently uses legacy Soviet-era systems and, in addition to renovating its water management infrastructure, will also need to address the transition to EU standards, for which it will require appropriate technical expertise.
The Global Water Operators’ Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA), a partnership network operating under UN-Habitat, can also serve as a tool for establishing contacts with Ukrainian partners. Attached, please find a presentation from the UN-Habitat office in Kyiv and a link to the GWOPA website.
If interested, UN-Habitat experts are ready to organize an informational videoconference for Czech companies.
