About the Project

The RECONMATIC project (Automated solutions for sustainable and circular construction and demolition waste management) is a European research project funded under the Horizon Europe programme (No. 101058580).

Its goal is to deliver innovative and digital solutions for sustainable and circular management of construction and demolition waste (CDW) throughout the entire life cycle of buildings and infrastructure. The project aims to:

  • minimize waste generation
  • increase reuse and recycling rates
  • support the transformation of the construction sector towards a zero-waste and energy-efficient industry

What Will Be Presented

During the seminar, we will introduce:

  • The key challenges in construction and demolition waste management and the need for automated, digital tools and innovative approaches
  • The main approaches and solutions developed within RECONMATIC, including:
    • digital tools for material tracking
    • automated deconstruction and waste sorting
    • information management and decision-making systems
  • The project’s educational platform, offering specialized learning materials and tools focused on circular construction and waste management
