On 26 February 2026, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (“EFRAG“) released an updated version of the VSME Digital Template, i.e. Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (“VSME”), expanding language support with Dutch and Irish and introducing a free Data Migration Tool to make upgrades effortless. This update strengthens EFRAG’s mission to help small and medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”) and its ecosystem to produce compliant and accessible VSME reports. All VSME resources are now available at this link.

The new Data Migration Tool, embedded in the Converter, allow users to migrate, just with a few clicks, data inserted in previous versions of the VSME Digital Template to the latest one, minimising risk of errors compared to manual transfer of data, saving time for SMEs and allowing them to make use of latest functionalities of the VSME Digital Template.

EFRAG will continue updating the tools following the future voluntary delegated act on VSME to be issued by the European Commission in spring 2026. Czech BCDS has prepared the draft Czech translation of the VSME Digital Template and relayed it to the Czech Ministry of Finance, National Standard Setters, for review and submission to the EFRAG. Hopefully, the Czech version of the VSME Digital Template will be available soon.
