Preamble of the Working Group
The Industrial Transformation (formerly RETHINK) project is an initiative and an open platform of top managers of large companies operating in the Czech Republic who have decided to cooperate with each other in promoting post-pandemic support for achieving long-term climate neutrality and the UN Sustainable Development Goals for our country. Industrial Transformation (formerly RETHINK) signatories support government action to mitigate climate change and adapt to its impacts. With progressive climate change and environmental degradation posing an existential threat to both the people of the Czech Republic and our planet, we therefore support the EU Green Deal for Europe, the UN Paris Agreement and the Glasgow Climate Pact, which are designed to mitigate this threat.
At joint working meetings of the Industrial Transformation (formerly RETHINK) Working Group, made up of representatives of Industrial Transformation (formerly RETHINK) signatories (called Industrial Transformation (formerly RETHINK) Coordinators), signatories inform each other about the latest developments in decarbonisation and adaptation measures at global, European and national levels, and take inspiration from actions that companies are taking across sectors or emerging as good practice in the markets.
Terms: The working group meets 5-6 times a year and communicates also within the closed MS Teams group.
Meetings beyond the WG members can be attended by all Czech BCSD members as requested.
