The EIT Urban Mobility initiative has been re-evaluated as the most active investor in European mobility startups – for the third year in a row. The award is based on the State of European Mobility Startups 2025 Report, which maps investment trends and the development of the mobility ecosystem in Europe.
In 2025, EIT Urban Mobility completed 30 investment transactions (new investments and follow-ons). Its portfolio now covers more than 27 countries and 27% of the supported startups have female founders, which underlines the emphasis on diversity and pan-European impact.
EIT Urban Mobility emphasizes that its added value is not only capital, but also access to one of the largest innovation networks in Europe – i.e. the possibility of partnerships, pilots and international expansion. Examples of portfolio growth include Futurail (seed €7.5 million) and R3 Robotics (over €20 million) – both examples show an orientation towards scalable solutions with measurable impact.
Czech BCSD has a Memorandum of Cooperation with EIT Urban Mobility, and EIT Urban Mobility also regularly contributes to the meetings of the Clean Mobility Working Group – including the 8th meeting on April 16 at the DOX Center. For more information, use this link.
